Welcome to the Railyard Event & Conference Center, located in the heart of downtown Elkins within the historic Railyard District.

The Railyard Event & Conference Center offers ample onsite parking designed to accommodate events of all sizes. Parking is easily accessible, including designated accessible spaces, and motorcoach parking is available for group arrivals and tours—ensuring a smooth and convenient experience for all guests.

DIRECTIONS

DIRECTIONS VIA I-79 (from the north and west)

  1. Take I-79 to Exit 99 and follow US-33 / US-48 east toward Elkins.
  2. Continue east on US-33 / US-48 toward downtown Elkins.
  3. At the downtown Elkins interchange, take the exit toward Downtown Elkins. Do not take the Crystal Springs / Old US-33 exit.
  4. Turn right at the bottom of the ramp.
  5. Continue into town to the stoplight at Railroad Avenue, the Walgreens intersection. Go straight through the light toward the Go-Mart.
  6. Follow signs for the Railyard Historic District and Elkins Depot Welcome Center (visitors center).
  7. Pass the Elkins Depot and train station, and turn right onto Wilson Street at the stop sign.
  8. The main parking lot entrance is on your right. Turn in, park, then follow signage to the Main Entrance on the town square side of the building.

PARKING

Free guest parking is available in two lots.

Wilson Street lot. The main lot and the closest parking to the Main Entrance. Best option for most events.

Martin Street lot. Enter from Martin Street. Use this lot when the Wilson Street lot is full or when directed by event staff.

Both lots connect on foot to the Main Entrance. On event nights, follow posted signage and staff direction.

DIRECTIONS VIA I-64 / I-77 (from the south and east) 

  1. From I-64 or I-77, connect to US-219 or US-33 north toward Elkins.
  2. Continue on US-33 east into downtown Elkins.
  3. At the stoplight at Railroad Avenue, the Walgreens intersection, turn left toward Railyard Avenue and the Go-Mart.
  4. Follow signs for the Railyard Historic District, Elkins Depot Welcome Center (visitors center), and excursion trains.
  5. Continue past the Elkins Depot and train station and turn right onto Wilson Street. The main lot entrance is on your right.
  6. Park and follow signage to the Main Entrance.

Local Tips & Navigation

📍 Where we are. The Railyard sits in the Railyard District of downtown Elkins, next to the Elkins Depot Welcome Center and Elkins Town Square.

🧭 If your GPS misroutes you. Landing at the Elkins Depot Welcome Center, 315 Railroad Avenue, or at Elkins Town Square means you are about a block away but not in our parking. Continue to Wilson Street and turn into the lot.

🚗 Parking is free. No permit or validation needed. Follow posted signage once you arrive.

🚶 Arriving on foot. The Main Entrance faces the plaza on the Elkins Town Square side of the building, at the top of the circular drive.
